Cancellous Screws Full Thread
Backed by rich industry experience and knowledge, we have been able to manufacture, export and supply a broad range of Orthopedic Bone Screws. The offered screws are well designed according to the clients specific needs and manufactured under the proper supervision of our experienced team of experts with the aid of high grade raw materials. Used for tapping internal bone fixation, the offered screws are extensively demanded in medical industries. Furthermore, these Orthopedic Bone Screws are available in varied dimensions as per the exact requirements of the clients.
- Sturdy construction
- Resistant to corrosion
- Compact design
- Accurate dimensions
Bone screws are cylindrical in shape with spiral thread moving on its exterior surface. It transforms torsional pressures into compression. The prime functional motive in the structure is to distribute and dissipate the automatic load. Design of the thread must optimize former contact, increase surface area, distribute and dissipate loads at the interface of bone screw and enhance the pullout power.
Our bone screws can be utilized for reinforcement of transplants to bone, for soft tissue anchorage or fixation. In traditional plates they perform by enhancing the friction through the bone and plate.
Innovative locking plates do not rely on the abrasion through the bone-plate interface. It performs as an inner fixator by utilizing fastening of screw top into the corresponding threads of plate to contour a firm angle construct.
Our orthopaedics screws can be categorized on the basis of the following features:
Design- Traditional screws, topless screws, locking screws, Cannulated, etc. and double vs single lead threads.
Material- Untainted steel, bioabsorbable and titanium.
Size- 4mm, 6.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.5mm etc.
Features- Auto-tapping, self drilling and auto tapping, non-auto tapping, self drilling.
Area of Application
Large number of threads
Developed to have improved buy in cortical bone
Less proportion of core diameter to thread diameter
Designed to possess much better buy in cancellous bone
Greater depth of thread
High ratio of diameter of thread to core
Partially or wholly threaded
Structure of Screw
Below are the parts that bone screw has:
Core– Hard part from which the strands cast in the outer direction. The extent of core ascertains the hardiness of screw as well as its weariness resistivity. Moreover, the range of drill bit utilized is equivalent to the diameter of core.
Threads- Diameter of the strand is the maximal diameter of strands. The depth of thread is partly of the contrast between diameter of strand and core. It also ascertains the rate of touch that in turn finds out the resistivity to pull out. Further, the top size is equivalent to the diameter of the strand.
Head– Averts dropping of screw into the bone. Its shape is hemispherical to enhance the base area for pressure transfer and to permit angulated fitting. This can become better by utilizing washer. Permits reinforcement of screw driver.
Tip– The tip can be a trocar tip or auto tapping, blunt and corkscrew.
There are three distinctive designs, which are obtainable by the customers:
Non-tapping screw – Conical and smooth tips. Requires exercise of tap to make a groove for fitting.
Self-tapping – This design has trimming flutes for making a groove.
Self-tapping and self-drilling- Tip will create a hole by drill and will trim the groove for the strand.
Common Bone Screws
There are three kinds of common bone screws that are used:
Screw thread of cortex is developed for diaphyseal bone.
Cancellous bone screws planned for cancellous bone, whose strands have huge outer diameter, great pitch and are deeper.
Locking top screws have bigger diameter of core and glib strand with round edges.
Strength of screw fixation
It is based on the screw-bone surface that is affected by the listed factors:
Quality and solidity of bone
Power of the material used in making screw
Contact area of strands with bone based on the number of threads and design
Method of screw fitting
Tapping betters hold
Inhibition of thermal necrosis enhances compulsion
Coating on screw
Navigate tapping and hole
